Default dyno question

Is the AWD Dyno Dynamics OK for our cars? Or does the front diff need to be disconnected. TIA

The only dyno that will not harm your front diff is a Mustang.. The new Superflow dyno has a direct drive coupling. Porsche requires that the front drive roller be mechanically coupled. So if you care about your front diff and/or your drive shaft/stub axles run it on a Mustang. But then you need to really consider the fan selection. If you can't get cooling to your IC's and intake, your efforts and money go up in smoke.

Statman.....you're not getting curious again are you?
CarZ here in Lakewood has a new(er) direct drive Superflow AWD.....don't know of anyone local with a Mustang.

Hey Orrin....didn't know you were on this site. A guy on 6speed is trying to organize a dyno day.....here in boulder (at a shop that specializes in subbies). I don't trust they know what they are doing so I'm trying to figure out what to do. Still want to do the suspension upgrades we spoke about, but will wait until early spring I guess.

Statman,

it was lucky the moderator let me on here....insert appropriate emoticon here.

For the short work of disconnecting the front drive...I would sure do that.
I would vote for an organized guerilla-style standing mile in southpark or something. Maybe we could get a plane in the air to watch for the authorities...

Orrin...dang the car is just running soooo fast (and good) right now. I don't really care what the numbers say to be honest...I'd rather have you there for a dyno run...you the man! we could do a ride and some data logging and P-box fun some time also...

I'm in-let me know and I'll lend a hand.....
I forgot to mention, tomorrow morning 10a+ (Sat) there is a GTG/walkaround of the new HPR Track loosely organized thru PCA. No cars on the track yet as it "cures"....but it was billed as a BYO picnic event. The run out East could be a fairly high speed one- and there should be plenty of people in for taking turns being the Rabbit.

Best
