I'm considering dropping my transmission and having it rebuilt, but before I do that, I would like to get some advice here... I know I have an issue with my hydraulics... I had a brand new accumulator unthread itself on me while driving the car on the track last september. I'm guessing that the thing was damaged during the drive, as the clutch pedal hasn't worked properly since... So I'm going to order a new accumulator and a master cylinder. I'm not showing evidence of the slave cylinder reverse flowing, so I'm assuming the slave didn't get damage. It was replaced along with the accululator last summer.
But the shifting is still very laze when compared to other cars I've driven... I have a new 997 shifter installed and I have no issues getting the car into gear other than first gear sometimes having issues due to what was diagnosed as a mainshaft first gear chip or tooth deformation issue that will require a replacement when we rebuild the tranny. So my question is should I consider replacing the cables as well? Could they be part of the problem with the shifting effort? I'm also getting some misfire/CEL codes and wonder if I'm in need of 02 sensors or if my 8 year old coil packs are finally giving up the ghost... Mike

Ive been thinking of converting to the GT clutch master/slave cylinder conversion, I am told it does away with the pentosin and accumulator. I dont know if Kevin makes a kit yet, but I know evoms does.
I have also been thinking about my 8 year old coil packs as well, let me know what you find.
