kevin always complains that i do not tell him that i love him enough, so i figured that i would start off with a little man love and tell him that i do love him publicly, again...
I LOVE YOU!!! now that we have all the mushy stuff out of the way, lets get to the good stuff. OMFG is this car amazing! here are some of the quotes from passengers, and a select few drivers: 1. Liiiiiiiiiineeeeeeeaaar. 2. smooth. 3. No Lag, cant be turbo charged 4. you sure its not a super charger, because the power is too smooth and too soon for turbos? 5. fastest car i have ever been in! 6. is that digital gauge the speedo, cause i saw like 193 and were slowin down? 7. the way porsche should have made it from factory. 8. feels so planted and flat. 9. sounds amazing, and the ride is so controled, yet netraul; cant belive its really a solid suspension. 10. oh my F*&^ing god this this is fastest, sickest car i have driven, scary scary fast! 11. did your cd player really stop playing when you just punched it, and in 3rd gear no dought? 12. please, SLOW DOWN!!! 13. ect... i truly can not say enough good things about this set up. from the engine, to the suspension...it is really how they should come from the factory. i have drag cars, 1900lbs, 800 rwhp plus 300 shot of NOS. my point being that i know what a fast car feels and drives like. granted this is not an 8 sec 1/4 mile car, but it is the fastest, most stable, intense and fun street/rally car i have ever driven. idles perfect, a/c is ice cold, docile in traffic, starts with out hesitation, cuts off immediatly, blows no smoke, and leaks no fluid. i have driven a ruf 550 gt2 on and off for 4200 miles in the bull run, and it does not compare to the power, or suspension of this car. if anyone is thinking of modding thier 996tt, kevin is the man! he has delivered on everything he has promised, and has surpassed any and all of my expectaions by far. cary also went above and beyond the call of duty, in the middle of race season no dought, to help dial in my suspension. if anyone is unsure if it is worth the money, come to dallas, call me, and ill let you drive it...then you tell me what you think over lunch or dinner! if you can not tell, i am a happy camper, and LOVE kevin at www.ultimatemotorwerks.com if it was not for him spending god knows how much time with me before i finally commited, i prob would have a semi stock car still. if you are in the market to mod your 996tt, he is your man. ps here is a thread with pics (on page2) and time line of the build up if you havent seen it yet: http://www.6speedonline.com/forums/s...d.php?t=133081 Last edited by Kevin; 07-04-2008 at 07:06 PM. |

Great to hear your expectations were exceeded in this build. It is obvious that you have a lot of passion and emotion in this car, and it is helpful that you do know what a fast car really is for a frame of reference. Looking forward to some further input once you get the rev limiter lifted and the better file. Good luck and cary the UMW banner proudly in the GumBall |
